Terms of service
These terms apply when you use weareheir.com or place an order with us. Please read them before ordering.
Who we are
HEIR is a trading name of Two Lighthouses Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11995665). Registered office: 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 100n, Area 1/1, Fitzrovia, London, England, W1T 2EW. You can reach us at hello@weareheir.com.
Our product
Each HEIR blanket is knitted to order in organic cotton and personalized with the name you give us. Colors on screen can differ slightly from the knitted blanket, and the preview on our site is an illustration of your design, not a photograph of the finished piece. Sizes are approximate, as is normal for knitted textiles.
Ordering
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send your order confirmation. We may decline an order, for example if a name can’t be knitted well within the design or contains offensive wording, and if we do we’ll refund you in full.
You are responsible for the name, spelling and colorway you confirm at checkout. We knit exactly what you confirm.
If you order with the name to follow, we hold your place in our making schedule and the lead time begins when we receive the name.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars in the United States and in pounds sterling in the UK. UK prices include VAT where it applies. Delivery is included in the price, and for orders to the United States any import duty is paid by us, so nothing is owed on delivery. Payment is taken when you order. If we’ve made an obvious pricing error, we’ll contact you before going ahead and you may cancel for a full refund.
Making and delivery
Please allow three weeks from order to delivery, or three weeks from the day we receive the name if you sent it later. Your order confirmation carries your delivery date. If your blanket arrives after that date, we refund 15% of its price; see our refund policy. If something outside our control delays your order, we’ll tell you as soon as we can, and if the delay is substantial you may cancel for a full refund.
The blanket becomes your responsibility once it’s delivered to the address you gave us.
Returns and refunds
Because every blanket is personalized, the usual right to cancel a distance purchase (in the UK, the 14-day right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) does not apply, and once knitting has begun an order can’t be changed, canceled or refunded. If your blanket is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, we’ll remake it or refund you. Full details are in our refund policy.
Care
A care card comes with every blanket. We aren’t responsible for damage caused by not following it.
Our website
The design, photographs, wording and knit patterns on this site belong to us. Please don’t copy or reuse them without our written permission.
Our liability
We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are responsible only for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, and we sell for domestic and private use only.
Your privacy
We use your details to make and deliver your order, as set out in our privacy policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the UK, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are those on this page when you placed it.
